Vic West Premier seeking players

It is never too early and the 2013/14 Season is just around the corner. Vic West FC Premier Womens team will be looking to fill positions of players that have relocated for education or employment. We are looking for committed and skilled players to join the Vic West Premier core, for the upcoming 2013/14 season. Tryouts begins in early August at Finlayson Turf, dates and time TBA on the Vic West Web site and here on the LIWSA Web site in July. Contact coach Ian Logan ilogan@canem.com or 250-477-4949.

Charity Soccer Match

The Victoria Highlanders are hosting a Charity Match between the Legends of Canadian Soccer and the Saanich Firefighters on July 29, 2012 at 3pm at Royal Athletic Park. This event is in celebration of their contributions, Victoria’s 150th anniversary and Canadian Soccer Associations 100 yr anniversary. All proceeds will be going to the Archie Courtnall Center.

Tickets are $2 for students and seniors, $5 for adults and kids 12 and under are free. Tickets are available now at Soccerworld and will also be sold at the gate.

The Highlanders are conducting an auction on their web page for the chance to play with the Legends. 2 Roster spots are available to the highest bidder.
